A few common questions.
Does it show me where a piece goes?
Yes. Puzzle Pointer compares your piece with the complete puzzle picture and rings the best spots to try it, best match first, each with a close-up. You check the fit by hand. Pieces of plain sky or a single colour can match several places, and the app tells you before you search one.
Will it work with my puzzle?
Over 10,000 puzzles are ready by barcode, from Ravensburger, Buffalo Games, Galison, White Mountain, Springbok, Cobble Hill and more. For other puzzles, photograph the box front or the full picture.
What counts as a search?
Each piece you search uses one search, whether or not a spot is found. If a free search doesn’t find your piece, or you tell us it didn’t fit, you get one extra free search, up to 10 free in total. A photo the app can’t use, a processing failure, and reopening a saved result are free.
Are there ads? Do I need an account?
No ads, and no sign-up. Up to 10 searches are free; then buy 10 searches for $2.99 once, or get unlimited searches with Puzzle Pointer Monthly for $6.99 a month.
What happens after my free searches?
Your puzzles and placed pieces stay saved. To keep searching, buy a one-time pack of 10 searches for $2.99, or choose Puzzle Pointer Monthly at $6.99/month for unlimited personal piece searches while subscribed. Purchases, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple.
What happens to the photos I submit?
Photos are sent to process your search. The Privacy Policy explains what Puzzle Pointer handles, how long it is kept, and how to delete your private data.
